An autoclave is the best way. Thats how hospitals will sterilize reusable objects. Its kinda like a pressure cooker that steams it. If you have something you need cleaned thats small, most peircing shops have one.

Autoclave - appearance of a microwave, steams surgical/dental/hairdressing hardware. This appliance not usually on every1's xmas list...try steaming over pan of boiling water in a veggie steamer. Can buy can of sterilising spray, ask local hair salon, they should have some on site to cleanse scissors/clipper blades. Alert -take care though, steam can cause scalding/burning.

Usually it is washed first with Sodium hypochlorite or household bleach. Then air dry. For sure sterilization especially if you are going to use it for surgical procedures ) AUTOCLAVING ( steam under pressure..so ordinary boliling and steaming won't do ) is the most advisable way. Hope this helps. God bless

Either boil it in water for ten minutes, or soak it in a 50% bleach/water solution for a few minutes and let it air dry.
