First of all, you'll need to LEARN two disciplines of Martial Arts.

A Standing Game discipline(like Karate or Kung Fu, or Mosul (or Korean Martial Arts, but in most cases of MMA competitions, Muay Thai is often a major choice since it is very easy to pick up), and later a Ground Game discipline (like maybe Judo or Jujitsu, but the biggest choice many fighters pick is Jujitsu).

Then you'll want to start at local venues or attend some "feeder league" venues that often have people there from teams and such that MAY be looking for people to add to their team.

you'll then want to get some experience by competeing in these venues (if they're a sanctioned fighting venue it should work to your favor as they'll keep a record of the matches between competitiors), and gain an over all fight record.

Because this' likely what the team manager is going to ask about first is how much competition experience you've had.

If you've got someone who can film your matches as more evidence of your matches and record then it'll help you as well.

that's just a few things that you'll likely run up against.

but ONE of the biggest problems you're gonna have to deal with is making the weight limits of the fighters class you register to compete in, if you're over the weight limit or under the limit of the class you're trying to fight in or have registered for, then you can't compete, especially if it's a sanctioned fighting venue.

So you'll have to keep your nutrition and training regimen up on a regular basis, which can be a full time job in itself.
