ok so i am a varsity volleyball player in highschool and am also going to be playing in college as well. I am five foot ten and compared to my other people on our school's team, i am pretty tall. However, in college will i be considered short?

It depends on what position that you're playing. Setters can be shorter (I know of several who were around 5' 5" who were collegeate setters). You're about average for a middle hitter, and average to a little tall for an outside hitter. You're WAY tall for a defensive (backrow/libero) specialist.
A lot depends on what your vertical leap is. If you can get 30 inches or more, it won't really matter.
Except for middle blocker where you don't have alot of time to be in the air to cover blocking ( here you want to be as tall as possible so you can block middle then move) it's more important how high you can touch when you jump. With your height, you should be able to touch close to 10 feet (basketball rim) or even better.

I don't think so. Personally, I find leaping ability more important than height. Try increasing your vertical leap, do some work outs, leg strengthening exercises. Tall+High leap will be the reason your opponents will hate you!

I doubt you will be considered short.
Perhaps now you will average.
The other girls would have to be well over 6' for you to relegated to the short range.

you wont be considered short, youll be about average...maybe a little on the tall side

i dont think u will because you are tall. you are taller than my volleyball coach. she is 5''3!!!!!

Who cares. Just do your best and show them that you are a star. You will look much taller than you are.
