i love that hair cut,,i think since you got thick hair,,you should like curlit wether with jel , hairspray,,and such,,or with the curlicg iron..also you can str8in it,,do some flips...get sum bamgs if you already dont gotthem yet,,

Try very large velcro rollers in the crown area an your dry hair with a little hairspray. Hit it with the blow dryer a minute then roll out. Her hair is extensions, keep that in mind.
