Cats play by wrestling, biting, climbing etc. You need to "play" with your kitten but you also need to show her some affection too. If she's scratching you when you play, try giving her things to chase and chew on like a little mouse toy on a string. Kittens will chase just about anything. Get a medium size ball and roll it along the ground and watch her go flying after it. I use an old plastic christmas ornament and my kitten would spend hours chasing after it. After all this, pick her up and just pat her. She may still want to romp but pat her head, the bridge of her nose and if she's tied out from all the romping, she'll go to sleep. If your kitten knows you as a play mate only, then that's all you'll ever get. If she's by herself, you're her family and companion. She needs affection, the same way that if she was with another kitten, they'd sit and lick each other. Instead you pat her.

i understand that your cat may seem annoying at times, and i had scrathes all over my body before my kitten was declawed... but she is always welcome on my lap when i watch a movie or sleep. You should want to pay a lot of attention to her. If you work a lot of just arent home very often, maybe try a playmate, like another kitten or a small dog.

I recommended that you do. Kittens can become quite mean if they are mistreated or forgotten. The scratching could just be it's way of making you pay attention to her/him. Or it could be playfulness. My adult cat still does that.

You need to give your cat attention, and to stop the scratching you should spend time with her and try to teach her to be a good cat, because as she gets used to you she will stop scratching.

have you ever positioned the mum and kitten at the same time someplace secure? in case you moved her kitten, and did not positioned it someplace she seen secure, she might in no way have the rest to do with it. additionally, if it became allowed to get chilly, she might assume it incredibly is dying and reject it. attempt warming it up nicely and offering it back to her.

because you have neglected your kitten it is not used to you handling him you need to take time and just play with him maybe with a long piece of yarn that way you will keep him occupied but yet still be able to play w/him.

Pay more attention to her. She's your pet, and you can't just forget about them. They get lonely. Cats are pretty social too.
Maybe when she scratches you, she wants to play.
