Existed, mainly. That seems to be enough for some people.
Produced a few awful comedians.
Managed to make the desert bloom in Israel, that seemed to annoy some people, for instance.
In fact, Israel is an affront to many fundamentalist Muslims just because it exists in 'their' part of the world.
For centuries, The Church promoted the idea that Jews killed Jesus, and this act of alleged Deicide provided The Church, many a scrupulous State, Town or rural village with a scapegoat when one was needed. The scapegoat was often either Jew or Gypsy, depending on which was nearer and the nature of the 'crime'.
In reality, all the Jews have ever done wrong is existed, keeping itself to itself and arousing suspicion, or integrating (and arousing suspicion).
Jews are disproportionately sucesful and arguments have raged as to whether this is part of the reason for - or a reaction to - anti-semitism. Perhaps it is neither, but it is a fact if you measure success in modern society to be fame, fortune, culture, sport - check wikipedia for lists of famous Jews over the ages, it makes interesting reading.

Well, the Hebrews originated in the fertile crescent around Ur. They were nomads and were pushed around for some time. However, they wandered into Egypt uninvited and were enslaved. (btw, this was 1000+ years after the pyramids were built, so they did not build any pyramids).
After the exodus out of Egypt, they invaded the land of the Cananites of modern day Isreal. Historians believe that they either:
1. invaded and killed the Cananites
2. migrated to Cananite cities and forced the Cananites to move elsewhere
3. slowly assimilated with the Cananites
So yeh, attacking other people and taking their land is pretty bad. After that, Jews don't do anything bad but still get picked on by everyone ranging from the Romans to the Catholic Church to the Christian Crusades to Islamic fundamentalists...

Nothing at all. The Jews have ALWAYS gotten the short end of the stick and most often the sharp end of the stick. But I believe that they are still to this day the apple of God's eye and that is the reason why they are under attack so often. I believe that Satin absolutely HATES the Jews because they are #1 the apple of God's eye, #2 - Jesus was a Jew, And #3 - The Jews preserved our Bible and passed it on to us. Which is remarkable when you think about it....that the Jews don't even believe in the new testament yet they preserved it and passed it on to us Christians any way.....that just had to tick off Satan to no end. So, my belief is that the Jews have been under attack thoughout history because Satan hates them and he wants more then anything to wipe them off the face of the earth. And it must really get his goat that he hasn't been able to accomplish that.

I think it started from the bible of course. Many xians thinkg the jews killed jesus. Then the jews were succesful banker and businessmen. Royalty and other high-born people had to borrow from the jews to maintain their lifestyle. This also created resentment. In fact they would often declare that their debts to jews were annulled.
It just steamrolled from there.

7 Remember this and never forget how you provoked the LORD your God to anger in the desert. From the day you left Egypt until you arrived here, you have been rebellious against the LORD.
