no , it's crazy like that i been on it for 3 yrs. now. i know that is bad for the density of your bones, but bleeding or no period for a year is normal i had that, but is always good to ask a doctor, but i wouldn't be concern

Hmm, I'm a rare case, I took depo for 4 years and the most awful side effect I had was I was stomach sick for the day after my shot each time. HOWEVER, I did have low PMS each month at the time when I should have been on my period. You can still have your period while on depo. A little over 6 months, so you're either due for a shot or just had one. Either way, due or had one, a period is normal. Just let your doctor know, your dose might not be correct.

Right around the time of my next shot I would get cramps and a little spotting, and stress might also be a factor in your situation. I would not be too concerned unless you bleed for more than 10 days.

I'd strongly recommend not getting the shot anymore, I was on it for four years and found out that after five years you need a bone density check as it seriously messes with your bone health.

I got my period intermittantly while on depo (I wouldn't worry about it). I had no other side effects except for some oily skin for a week after my first shot.
