No, he is not. Sorry. Do you really think some god is waiting around when suddenly, "Oooo, someone said the magic words!", and he's "saved"? Wow. You have a really simplistic religious belief, and most religious belief is simplistic to begin with.
Besides, nobody is saved. We all die the same.

No.
Invite Jesus into your heart? What bible verse would that be?
He needs to understand that he is condemned under the moral law of God and that he needs a savior. If he accepts Jesus as his savior, then he is saved and there is no way for any of us to really know. Only the person. We can have a good idea about people, but we don't really know. Just saying the words just doesn't cut it.
I mean... think about it. If you walked into your doctor's office and he just handed you some pills and told you to take them and then walked out. What would you do? Would you take them?
Now... if he were to walk in and tell you that you were sick and that you were gonna die (sparing no details... making you aware of the seriousness of your illness). Unless, of coarse, you take this medication.
Your friend needs to realize that he is sick and that there is a cure. You can't mince words and you can't wait. If you do, you would be like a uncompassionate doctor who doesn't care about his patient.
Only a humbled heart (that really realizes their sin) can come to God and be given grace.

If that was the case then Benny Hinn would be a Christian role model.
It is not an incantation. It is a sober decision. It takes more then words. But rarely have I heard someone say "Jesus is lord" outside of the Holy Spirit.
There is hope.

No, You can teach a parrot to repeat a verse, does it make them saved, silly? They must BELIEVE! It's all about the heart attitude;not to mention repentance. WHY do Christians conveniently forget about repentance so much these days? EASY BELIEVISM!
EDIT:
AMEN,

I don't know, what about me, I read this out loud to a co-worker, so the words left my mouth, does that make me saved? I am thinking that he would actually have to mean it for it to mean anything. If not, your god is pretty easy to fool.

A. There's no way you can possibly know. A murderer can tell you until they are blue in the face that they love the lord Jesus Christ just long enough to get out of jail.
B. Drop it and let people follow their own beleifs.

If you quoted a line from a movie, (for example) "I killed him." Does that make it true? No. by the same token he is not saved either (if you believe in that sort of thing)

Oh my goodness, you frighten me.
Pagans do not believe that words can "save" anybody or that belief can "save" anybody. Pagans judge merit entirely on deed. Words mean nothing.

Maybe you should ask him why he would say something like that if he's a Pagan. I'm a Pagan and the only reason I would ever say those words is if I'm telling someone what born-again Christians say when they get saved.

No, you have to confess with your mouth and believe with your heart, Romans 10:9.
