If you have personally had it done, or are a hairdresser -
1) do you like the results?
2) how long does it last?
3) how does it grow out?
4) how expensive is the procedure?

Thanks!

to superstylist: thanks for all your info!
Still one question: is your hair hard to manage while it's growing out, or does it look bad until you get it touched up? In other words, do your clients get permanently hooked on it because their hair is hard to deal with it when it's growing out.

And one more ?. Can you color your hair, too. Or is it one or the other? Thanks!

I am a licensed salon pro and have only applied this straigtener a few times... but this is what I know about it:

I love the results! Perfectly straight hair... no damage. It is permanent, it last until your hair starts to grow. At this point you have curly new hair coning from your scalp and silky straight hair on the ends until they are cut off.

As far as price... I am in southwestern Indiana and charge $280 for this process for the original treatment and $80 for touch ups that can be done every 4 - 6 weeks.

Pick your jaw up off the keyboard as I explain... the price is hefty because the process is very time consuming. Hair that is about shoulder length can take 6 hours to complete the process. My prices may be higher or lower than you may find in your are... depends on the market. And, the price is precisely why I don't so that many.

You may want to check around at few area salons to see what the price ranges are in your neck of the woods.

Best of luck!
