On the top of my fathers shotgun it says The Young Repeating arms Company Columbus O. On the bottom it has the dates Patd Jun 18th 1901.

Couldn't find out anything about the company itself, but I did an advanced search for the exact words "Young Repeating Arms Company" and got 1 hit - an antique arms dealer called Bonhams in San Francisco. They are (were?) advertising the following two items:
Young Repeating Arms Company 12 gauge shotgun; $1,100
Young Repeating Arms Company 12 gauge shotgun; $1,400
