I follow the religion of Islam and am Scottish. Have lived in the UK all my life and all my ancestry is Scottish. I know your question asked about US but i just wanted to show Muslims come from all countries are all colors and are extremely varied in origins.

i dont know that but i have heard alot that islam is one of the most growing religion in america

it depends on which survey you look at.
ARIS: 0.5%(in 2000)
Pew Research Council: 1%(2001)
and this one is really old(from 1990)....
NSRI: 0.5%
i'm sure there are others, i just dont have time to look them up right now....
also, it's almost impossible to know for sure, because, the US government doesnt ask about religious affiliation in the census(it would violate church-state separation)

couple million or so. i met one who is a "closet muslim". i wonder how many of those there are.
i'm proudly openly an American born Muslima.
