Sometimes at night I feel like demons are in the room with me. Like the darkness is filled with something bad

Has anyone had this experience? I believe in God and pray when this happens. It's scary.

Open those doors and windows and cast out your demons in the Name of Jesus, God Almighty. Pray and ask the LORD to reveal truth to you and to give you peace and comfortable rest in your home. Sounds really simple and it really is,but only if you apply it.

You are more than likely experiencing a panic attack - have you noticed what you tend to think about in your bedroom at night? You are afraid of something and the darkness is heightening your fear. Did something happen in the dark some time that caused you to be afraid? Or any time? Nighttime is often isolating for those who are depressed or anxious. I felt for years like the darkness was filled with something bad. The truth is, a lack of light DOES affect our mood, if we are sensitive to it:

There are no such thing as demons except the ones within yourself - and those are not 'beings'. In the dark, alone, all that you are afraid of or anxious about is overwhelming you. A soft light in the room may help. As you come to understand what you are afraid of, you will be ever closer to accepting and/or fixing it. Talk to friends, family, people that you trust about your thoughts and feelings. Get things off your chest.

Yes, I have had some problems with that, and it can be very terrifying. Prayer is the answer without any doubt, but often people neglect to pray the right thing. You need to look into the past a bit and see if you or your family have been involved in anything occultish. Demons really only have access to us when we yield our spirits to the things of Satan. So if you have used a Ouija board, or been hypnotized, or anything where you lose control over your mind demons can get access. Drugs can do it and also if you get involved in the teaching of tongues, that also allows them access because you give up control of your spirit. Pentecostals have awful problems with demons. Once you determine this you then need to pray and confess it as you would any other sin, and ask God's forgiveness and protection. Sometimes Satan does not let you pray and you may need to get someone else to pray until your tongue is free to pray yourself. I am not trying to scare you but these things can be serious. If I am over reacting to your situation just ignore me.

What you could be sensing is either a ghost or spirit....from heaven...... I know it feels scary, but usually that's just the way it feels when you feel their presence, if it is a good spirit, and then if it spoke to you, that feeling would go away, as they comfort you.... this has happen to me a few times. I felt that feeling of a presence at least fifty times or more all my life, usually if and when you see them that feeling is not their, it's only when you don't see them..... your senses are picking up the presence of a ghost or spirit.....I have never really came across a bad one, a evil one.
Sometimes it is because of prayer... it's call tuning in, depends on your prayers, either love ones, family members would come due to concern prayers, or God sends either angels, or your spirit guide. Trust me I experiences this a lot, some people, have this gift, and may not know it till later on.
If you start experiencing it a lot, ask it questions, sometimes they would answer you out loud, the one that spoke to me was comforting, she was my spirit guide.

It is good that you pray. Keep it up. You can also tell the demons to go away. Invoke the name of God, like for instance,
"In the name of God (and Jesus, if that is what you believe) I comand you to leave."
If you keep praying they will go away. Even if it is just psychological, you will feel better knowing God is on your side.
The night light thing isn't a bad idea.

Something bad might have happened in the room and over a long period of time and you may be picking up on the residue of the vibration of those events but your mind is like a receiver amplifier combination that works on whatever you perceive. Really there is nothing of any moment in that room so you can make the vibration there whatever you want it to be. Choose.

This is an expereince that I've really had. Twice. I've been awakened in the middle of the night with my own hands choking me and I could not breath. The room felt very "Heavy?" and it seemed as if an evil presence filled the room. I could not release my own hands from around my neck. I could barely breath and I just breathed the words, "Jesus help me" and instantly my hands loosed from my neck and the evil presence was gone. I slept with my Bible beside me for weeks after that. Scariest time of my life.

First of all..your name is Priestess. Trying to find a way to say this, if in any way have you opened door to demons, the strongman or familars etc..is it possible you opened that door with witchcraft? Dont be offended by the things i have to say. I had demons assigned to me. Do you have any unconfessed sin, at what time did you first experience the attacks? what is your life style, meaning who do have in your life surrounding you. Are theses people serving Christ or satan. Now ,yes a born again believer can still be under attack. Its a process of cleansing and refinment God takes us through. The demons asigned to you can be generational. Yes it very scary and you are oppressed in this cituation, where satan wants you. But your house and phyical body need to be delivered and cleansed. That can only come from the authority in Christ Jesus. If you have turned your life over to Jesus you can call on his name, he will come, trust me. I spent more years of my life being violated and tormented that i should have. Find a good deliverance ministry that understand this and get them in your life and home. Some one that is a strong intecessor and can break the very strongholds set against you. Stand on every word of God. This wont be a pleasant time, what may have attached to you wont want to go. Break every generational curse put on you, take authority over your home and send the devil packing!! remember that they will try to come back , if your house is kept clean of sin and you surrender yourself to obedance in Christ they have nothing to come back to. I can only say if you dont surrender to Christ, in all areas of your life, this will only get worse, i dont wish that for you and i have lifed you in prayer. Dont let satan rob you of your life or sleep. Bind Psalm 91 over all that pertains to you.

I have this experience. I'm agnostic though (which means I don't know what I believe in). Get a night light and read a book until you fall asleep. Don't watch any horror movies before either. That will make it worse.
