Online dating can be tricky largely because people are not honest. Pictures are altered or outdated. I do know of people who have met decent people online. Unfortunately I have heard more horror stories than happy endings.
If you are serious then take time to do some research. Might even ask on this site what some of the better dating sites. Yahoo Personals seems to be pretty good. The pros are there are some people who have made matches online. Cons there are cons online as well. So be careful. Don't give out personal info.Talk via email at first then if you are comfortable use a cell phone. Gving out your home number is not recommended because a person can find out so much info about you with it. So stick to the cell until you are sure. Meet for the first time in a public place like a mall. Be leery of people who you have never met in person who say they are in love with you.
I guess the best advice is be honest in your ad. Protect yourself and listen to that small still voice inside. It will never lead you down the wrong path.

Well, Dr Phil believes it's OK. I think it is if you follow some guide lines. Never meet in private, be really careful, and don't ever rush into anything. My sister met her husband that way. They were suposed to be a great match. I worry she might not really be happy. They may be a great match, but did she get a really good man. Time will tell. I think you only know that if you are able to spend much time with a person, in every situation possible.

On line dating can produce dates. Be aware that the answers people give may not be the total truth, just a suppositive positive answer. also you may consider that people in on line dating aren't finding others in other places. be truthful in your answers to get the best match possible. if a date truly is attracted to your message, then good things can happen.

I met the guy im currently dating online through a personals site. and hes great to me. We have been dating for 4 months now. I do recommend pics and emailing each other. and never meet someone offline with out friends around.

i have meet and married the most wonderfulest person in the world on line,,they are a lot of scamers out there so you will have to ask the questions yourself,,and go from there,do not trust just anyone find out about them first,, do not send them any money if they ask you to,i have heard a lot of reasons they need it, my wie wanted me to send money so she could get ready for our wedding,i had just been scamed out of some money,i told her we would do it together when i got there,she said that would be fine,,so i knew then it was going to be ok,,i am really lucky,,hope you have the same kind of luck
