For one thing, I know this has been asked a lot...but I'm lazy and don't feel like looking it all up. I understand religion is a big part of our lives, and I'll be the first to tell you that I'm a Christian and that isn't changing any time soon.
But I get sick of seeing Christians (or other religions, sometimes) denounce nonbelievers as evil people that are out to get them.
And I'm tired of atheists denouncing Christians (or other believes in religion) as irrational idiots that don't know what they're talking about.
At least in an argument stop using stereotypes and personal biases as part of the argument. I know a lot of people don't agree with this, as they enjoy a good fight, but I don't see the point. This doesn't get us anywhere, so if we come to a point in which neither agrees and have argued until they're blue in the face, why don't they just say "whatever, I believe what I believe" and get on with their lives?
And please...leave civil answers.

You know when very young children get mad and they lack intellect to defend themselves in an argument so they hit or say mean things... basically that happens with some adults that chose ignorance over enlightenment.

I have a question as well for you if someone was pushing you and pushing you when is enough enough ?? though i don't see the point of the name calling i do see the point of some of the arguments when they type things like can i flush the LORD down the toilet etc etc etc they can hurt people natural they want to fight for what they believe in we have to draw line somewhere and say enough is enough time is at hand to stop things before it is to late we are called to be soldiers for Christ not pantie waists

i don't think that atheists intend to be as argumentative as you think(at least the atheists i know). I think that atheists(it's really unfair to generalize about a group of people whose only official similarity is that they don't believe in god, who have no creeds or anything....) want people to question and investigate things. not to just believe in something without real, scientific evidence(atheists are usually free thinkers and liberal...which is a good :-)thing ). I mean, if i told you that there was a teapot in elliptical orbit around the sun(making sure to mention that our strongest telescopes aren't strong enough to see it), would you say 'you cant disprove it, it must be true!' or that the tooth fairy or thor were real, would you believe me?
i wouldn't.

You're right. I'm Pagan and the ridicule I get from Atheists is worse than the ridicule I get from Christians. I don't see why it would bother someone that I have certain beliefs. I've never harmed any of them, so I don't know why they care so much about it. Unless of course they have no life.

i agree, this should be a place of learning and sharing, i think a good answer is, instead of finding where we are each wrong, put as much effort into finding the things we agree upon, where our values to meet, just an idea
