My priest (I am Catholic) is fantastic. He is not a "conman" and is extremely well educated but, unlike in the secular world where people allow their status to go to their heads, he will talk to the "lowest" and "highest" members are society without discriminating and without prejudice, always treating everyone as unique and special individuals. He is cool, pity you haven't had experience of a decent priest.

A true "man of God" will ONLY use what he needs to survive.
Any man who claims to be a priest, that lives in a fancy house/drives a fancy car, will get what's comming to him when he kicks the bucket.
BTW, about the wine/blood comparison, have you ever heard of a symbolic gesture?

I doubt it. Most priests sincerely believe in what they are doing, and do not seek personal aggrandizement from their activities. There are, of course, a few notorious exceptions, a chap with the initials J B comes to mind.

well it is a way of conning people out of large anounts of money , and the stories are not truthful and hard to to believe

Nine-year-old Joey, was asked by his mother what he
Had learned in Sunday school.

"Well, Mom, our teacher told us how God sent Moses
Behind enemy lines on a rescue mission to lead the
Israelites out of Egypt. When he got to the Red Sea,
He had his army build a pontoon bridge and all the
People walked across safely.

Then, he radioed headquarters for reinforcements.
They sent bombers to blow up the bridge and all the
Israelites were saved."

"Now, Joey, is that really what your teacher taught
You?" his mother asked.

"Well, no, Mom. But, if I told it the way the teacher
Did, you'd never believe it!"

priests "make enough" money to support themselves, no more no less. They go and help the community when they can, such as by visiting chrildren's hospitals. the church is in constant need of money in order to operated and pay bills, thats why there are fundraisers also.
