Amen to that! So refreshing to read something positive about our beliefs. Like you, I'm tired of the assumptions that non-believers have about Christians. The other one that rocks me is that we're mentally deficient because we have faith.
I see Christians of every variety, some growing more Christ-like daily, some living under the weight of their sins, none of whom claim perfection or even superiority as persons. What we glory in is the love of God.

Yes, but you do claim that you have the only path to attain some sort of moral perfection and non-believers, by virtue of not believing, don't. I've heard it again and again from christians. I've been rejected by christian women solely because I was an atheist and, therefore, there was no part of me that could ever be moral.
You look at non-believers and "feel bad" for them because we don't have the same beliefs and you think we're going to hell. And so, you take it upon yourselves to tell us this, as though we aren't happy or good and can't be happy or good. That's incredibly arrogant. If you can't read what you wrote and see why a non-believer would see you as arrogant, then you need a better understanding of people, not of god.

Because a lot of people won't even listen, they practically put their fingers in their ears and hum so they don't have to. They might actually find out that we aren't so bad after all and maybe they could have the same thing we do...forgiveness!
As far as the hypocrosy, that is when people look to man instead of God. Man will dissapoint us that is a given.
For the gay person. I have no problem with gay people but the bible does speak against it. It is not for me to judge you and your eternal life or relationship with God. Being gay i9s so different than any other sin. The biggest thing with it. Is with other sins you can really work on trying to stop but ending a sexual realtionship with someone is much harder especially if you live with them. I wish it wasn't a big deal with God but since he speaks against it then I must follow his laws.

I pray the prayer of God to place an "Angel upon my lips" because I am definitely not perfect. Now, some people have this idea that Christians think they are perfect because in all honesty, Most hypocrites are found in the church. They point at you, gossip about you, and the church don't help you out...I know this from personal experience, but I never let go of God.

In my opinion, because you act like without sin. A priest in white robe all-smiling face, demure and most of the time with a small pocket bible and rosary clasp in both hands. The worst, come election time, they're gonna say who to be voted. Those who are against their doctrinal belief such as the use of condoms and contraceptives are being campaign hard-against in the pulpit. They decide on the political landscape as if this were truly God's will for the people.
Actually there are non believers think you are hypocrite. Nevertheless, let God be the judge. We certainly do not know whose side God is unless again you claim it to be yours.

it incredibly is the challenge with decreasing faith to rewards and punishments, and basically after dying. what's the character of salvation? If Christianity affirms the certainty of grace, then why has there been such an emphasis on marvelous perception? Why do human beings proceed to word a Kindergarden point of thought to techniques approximately God, salvation, sin and justice?

WHY DO YOU SAY A PRAYER TO THE ONE YOU CALL MARY?
I think you may have missed this verse in the Bible?
(1Timothy 2:5) For God is one, and there is one Mediator of God and of men, the Man Christ Jesus,
The Bible sayd there is ONLY MEDIATOR! How then can mary help anyone? She can't! So why would one pray to heer
Thanks, RR

Because so many get into the judgement thing and wanting to push their perceived morality. I was raised christian and that's ALL i received. I also see christians in the U.S. trying to compromise education and science (evolution), medical research (stem cells), reproductive rights, equal rights for same-sex couples, and even democracy (by pursuing theocratic agendas). When I think of Christianity and Islam, the LAST thing I think of is love. When I think of Zen buddhism and a couple of other religions, I think very different things.

Right, so, how about you lay off the rest of us, mkay?
Whether it's you personally or not, I have to tell you this: there are a lot of Christians out there who DO presume to be perfect, and their favorite slogan is, "love the sinner, hate the sin".

I've never thought that.
I know that Christian dogma holds that Christians are sinners and they must accept Jesus to wash away their sins.
Just because I do not subscribe to a belief does not mean I do not know about it.
