That all depends on how she feels about you. You need to express your new interest to her and see how she responds. If she is truely a friend it won't influence your friendship - and it can stay at that.
But beware - once MORE of a relationship is built it will be harder to be friends with this person if the relationship fails or fizzles out. So think about what you want this person to be in your life and make a decision on how you want to play it.
Your young so you've got little to lose, except maybe a good friend.

Hmm how about the honest approach tell her that you are starting to be attracted to her besides just being her friend and would like to take her out and see how things go. I mean there is nothing wrong with the direct approach especially in these situations because u never know she might feel the same way and not know how to approach you.

tell her how you feel. but don't do it too literally, show her in a different way, but a way she will understand. Make sure you know it might ruin the friendship by its awkwardness if she rejects you. But that's only cold-hearted people.

Go for it!! You only live once and you will rarely regret the things you do but it's the things that you don't do that you regret.
