I have a tattoo of chocolate covered cherries on my hip. After 2 kids and a little weight gain, it looks more like chocolate covered apples. When I get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, do you think the tattoo will go back to it's original shape??

First of all the tattoo is NOT on your skin, so all you clods who commented about that, get your facts straight. Yes the tattoo will go back to original, but only if You can regain your previous weight and muscle tone. Folks if you dont have a serious answer or the knowledge to give one on a subject, please dont prove to the world how ignorant you really are.

sorry...but probably not. Besides expensive plastic surgery the only way to safely protect your cherries is to stay at your post pregnancy weight. Otherwise you'll just have to learn to like them apples.

I'm sorry but I doubt it. I had a friend growing up whose mother had a lot of tats. The ones she got on her breasts and other places that changed during pregnancy got warped and looked odd still when she got back in shape.

Yes it will. I have a butterfly on my upper leg. Some things happened that caused me to lose 60 lbs, but as soon as I gained the weight back, my butterfly was healthy and beautiful again. Good luck.

It might, but if not, you could probably have it touched up. Don't listen to those guys who replied before me. Having children is an honor and blessing and who cares what that your tattoo is out of shape. Their comments are infantile.

Probably not. The skin has been stretched. The odds are highly against it.. :-(... apply a good moisturizer daily, could help the skin's elasticity. Eat healthy also.

i HIGHLY doubt it...once the skin is stretched...the ink breaks in the skin...causing it to stretch out the ink and well you cant unstretch skin...
the best thing i could recommend would be concentrated cocoa butter...preferable a cocoa butter stick that you can find at The Body Shop, its like bath and body works only its more natural and organic. if you cant find one near you then you can get one online at

Not too likely, the skin has been stretched. So the ink has been spread to a larger area.
