After all the wrath and killings perpetrated by Him in the Bible, and the given threat of eternal torture if you simply do not worship him, I had a scary thought. What if it's all true? So my question to you is, would you worship an insane space alien or suffer the consequences for eternity?

God is not insane. The bible, Torah, and Quran are just fairy tales from the incorrect Abrahamic religions. Of course, they are of moral value...but do not take them for anything more than moral fables. The 3 Abrahamic religions are useful as moral guidance, but are ultimately superstition.

Science, logic, and reason has long proven the superstitious elements in these so called "holy" scriptures to be false. Remember, these books are based on a supernatural interpretation of history...ancient people would have percieved events such as floods and earthquakes as acts of God instead of water cycle and tectonic plates.

I don't think God is insane.. I think that sometimes he has to use drastic measures to get peoples attention and wake them up.. bad things happen everyday.. but why put the blame on God.. why not blame the people who do the bad things? sure, God could stop alot of bad things from happening but then what would be the consequences for doing bad stuff.? he's not insane..I am fully convenced he has a wicked sense of humor though..

I don't think he is insane but he was very serious about hating sin and still is. He has much more mercy on us now because of his son Jesus. I love because even with all the killing he did he had the right to as God. It's very hard for us to see how but he does love each and every human. He knows everything and we don't so of course we cannot understand what it is he does.

i like the idea that god may be insane - the god in the bible sometimes acts that way; after all, he did kill over 2.2 million people (in the bible), whereas satan way responsible for the deaths of about 10 (the book of Job)

If God is that insane then wouldn't it follow that Lucifer is actually a pretty reasonable guy? I'd rather hang out with him in hell.
