Im 16, and I need more freedom. Seriously Im responsible.?

My parents dont let me do anything. I have to go to bed at 9:00 and I cant go out. Never go to the movies or out with friends. And i cant have a girlfriend either and thats what I rreally want the most cause me and this girl been talkin for a long time and we both like each other. How do I tell my parents?

Yea but they are hard to convince and no im not asking alot I just want to go out.

You have to be willing to accept the rules to get more responsibility. Realize that means earning the privilege of going out, and if you do start dating this girl, dates might have to be supervised, or you might have to have dinner with both sets of parents.

Show them you're responsible first. Ask your parents if you can help out around the house; offer to cook dinner once a week, for example, or ask if you can get a part-time job. You might also want to get some numbers on the bedtimes of your classmates. If you know someone your parents respect (a minister or priest, a close friend, your grandparents), you could consider talking to them, too, and getting their counsel or support.

Then, when you have a talk with your parents about this, you'll have evidence to back up your claims of being responsible and they're more likely to listen to you.

You should also be willing to compromise. Asking for the moon won't help your case - ask for something small, and if they give you half of it, accept. Then work your way to something more.

You need to sit down with your parents and tell them that you no it's hard for them but your growing up. And a part of growing involves have feelings for the opposite sex.

just have a heart to heart talk with them and tell them everything, the good and the bad. if u tell them they will trust u because u told them and u have nothing to hide. good luck
