It is clearly not God's favorite sin, but we are all sinners.
If Gays are not able to be forgiven and join the rest of us sinners in heaven, then how are we different... All that is required is accepting Christ's sacrifice and repenting for our sin.
Now if THAT part is a barrier for a gay person, then the issue is one of faith and acceptance on their part, not on homosexuality.
To be absolutely clear - the only barrier to heaven is rejecting Christ.

I don't think that being a homosexual and acting upon it is a sin. I have no scripture to support that. It is personal observation and belief. There is nothing wrong with acting upon how you feel - because that is the way that God made you. Everyone deserves happiness and love, the kind of wholeness that a soul mate can bring. As for if they will be allowed into heaven - it is the same as 'are you going to heaven'. No one really knows - despite what they may say or think or believe. God only knows the real answer to that.

I know what the Bible says about it but all I know is that God loves them all very much and he has a plan to save them all. There is a verse where Jesus says some eunuchs are born that way. It's Matthew 19:11-12. I think he is talking about homosexuals and that some of them are that way from birth. He says all men cannot receive this saying except whoever it's revealed to.

Read Matthew, Mark, Luke & John
You will learn what Jesus had to say about homosexuality.
He said nothing about that topic.
He talked about the evils of wealth and
virtues of tolerance.
He made a point to differentiate between expressing the love of God thru ritual acts and acts of charity.
He prescribed peace, joy and love to all who followed his teachings with love being the greatest.
But not one word about a topic that many Christians are certain is a sin.
There are passages in the Bible that prohibit lots of different behaviors but not one quote of Jesus comdemming homosexual love.

I don't have a verse for you but I'll tell you that yes it's a sin but if they ask for forgiveness than they definitely be in heaven.
No one knows God's plan of who gets in heaven and who doesn't, so many assume that certain people won't get in heaven and we will never totally know. I would recommend reading any of the books in between Romans and Philemon. they were written by Paul who was very wise and understood alot of what God told him.

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD. It is all about our relationship with Jesus Christ. It is NOT about projecting homophobia onto our faith and using the Bible to justify hate and prejudice. GOD will judge who will and will not get into Heaven. Will a whore go to heaven? Well what about the woman at the well? What about the woman caught in adultery? Will a black belt Atheist go to Heaven? Yup I am going. Not for anything I have done but because Jesus finished work on the cross is acceptable to me to say the least. It's all about Jesus. As soon as I am blameless on my own righteousness I will rid the earth of all the homosexuals. Until then I will let GOD judge.

actually, for a completely different perspective on what those passages of scripture actually mean, read "Adventures in Missing the Point" by Tony Campolo and Brian McLaren. Though their intent is not to reverse your thinking, it ended up reversing mine. To sum up an entire chapter in a sentence, in Biblical times, homosexuality meant something entirely different than it means today.
Jesus did not speak on homosexuality. He spoke against hypocrites who refuse to see their own problems while judging others. He also condemned remarriage after divorce, a common, un-condemned practice in most churches. (Which this line of reasoning does not necessarily make homosexuality okay, but it shows you how it ranks on his "list" of which sins are worse)

Unless you have a VERY bad translation your Bible says that the people who put their trust in Christ and his payment for their sins will be saved - period. We were all sinners, and after coming to Christ we will continue to struggle with sin as long as we are in our earthly bodies. It is not which sins that we commit that keep us out of heaven, but our failure to accept the sacrifice made to cover them.
A lot of homosexuals have been freed from that addiction after coming to the Lord, but I don't know that there aren't some that continued to struggle with it up to their death. The point, as far as salvation is concerned, isn't the homosexuality, but whether their sins are covered by the Blood and their names found in the Book of Life.

Practicing homosexuality is a sin and even a non-religious person would easily recognize that is against nature. Homosexuality is something which homosexuals must try to overcome and cure, but one shouldn't be judged or penalized simply for being afflicted in this way. Condemn the act, not the person.

Why not they have a right to live their lives and be loved for who they are. Everyone deserves to be loved. Why pretend to be someone you're not and marry and cheat to try to get into heaven. That's worse in God's eye than being gay and faithful. I don't believe it's a sin unless you are cheating on you're partiner like a normal couple. They are not committing murder, rape, robbery, etc. And no I'm not a lesbian, I'm completely straight. Thank you
