You could try something like sports themes. Your local teams if you're into sports...MLB..NHL..ect.
If you're not go with animals, cars, dinosaurs, trains.
Then all the stores have cute pre-themed items..
But Good Luck!

I like things that are stimulating and educational. Put in BIG pictures of loved one and pets if you have any, they will get use to loving faces and feel comforted. Think a little bit into the future and go for some blackboard paint, low mirrors and multiple textures low down. Other then that, I like space themes. Glow in the dark stars on the ceiling are really fun.

I'm putting a song bird in my nursery... get them use to some sounds so they don't wake up at the drop of a hat. Song birds are "quiet" (low decibels) and don't sing at night when its dark. And the sound is natural and soothing.

Good Luck, I'm sure what ever you do will be perfect for them.

I just decorated my son's nursery. It is called sea life. Check it out at babiesrus.com. It is so cute with fish and octopus and starfish... The room came out so good.

As they are babies you could do Noah's Ark, Teddy Bears, a car theme really anything blue/boyish.
