(Pro 8:13) The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

The FEAR OF THE LORD, is what drives Mankind to Repentance! See Acts 17:30-31!

Also ALL THE EVIL comes from WITHIN!

(Mar 7:20) And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

(Mark 7:21-22-23) For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

(Mar 7:22) Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

(Mar 7:23) All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Thanks, RR

To pervert communication. We are born with the ability to use words. To use them for perverted reasons would be a perverse mouth.

The words " I', "wisdom", "dwell" with prudence" introduce the second section of this passage about the excellence of wisdom ( verses 12-21)

Again in the context we see wisdom tied directly to the fear of the Lord ( to fear the Lord is to hate evil ). The offer of wisdom is held out only to those who fear God. Coming to wisdom requires coming to God, and coming to God means turning away from all that God hates.

good question. And while they are at it, I want cross references for definitions of sexual immorality. Everyone has their own ideas, but all the Bible says is to not have a bad mouth or be sexually immoral. But what exactly IS perverse or sexually immoral?
