You'll want to check the laws in your state first. Some states have laws against anyone fortune telling for money...most of the palm readers and such down here label their businesses as "spiritual advisory" or "spiritual counseling" to get around the laws. Other than that, do it the same way you would start up any other business.

Obviously not ! If psychics were good do you think they would be working for $20 bucks or whatever you pay them ? If I could tell the future I would be rich from playing the stock market or gambling

I've always been of the understanding that it is a bad idea to mix spirit with money, that is just my opinion of course, and i apologize for the impolite answer you got on this one, some people have no respect at all i guess

You can make a million bucks here www.randi.org. You tell them what you can do, you design a test to prove it when you couldn't be cheating, and you walk out a million dollars richer and with all the clients you could ever want lining up at your door. Why not go for it?

but why not do it in your area and advertise your services
i think a good rate without ripping people off is about £ 20 or about $ 40 a reading
you could do parties also , which are always a hit with people
