the guy who likes me is really sweet, funny and nice, and I MIGHT like him. So should I tell him I like him to see if when I go out with him i really do?but he is a different race from me and im in 6th grade so a lot of kids a pretty imature. Can u think back 2 6th grade and tell me if u would have thought it was weird?

You should not be afraid to like who you like. My first boyfriend was in the 6th grade and we were not the same race, it wasn't a big deal and that was a long time ago. People are supposed to blend and live together I think. Just be yourself and dont worry about what other people say.

In all honesty. 6th grade relationships don't matter too much. you will be going to highschool and its a giant big big world in comparision. but relationships are good to have for experiences... Don't care what other people think you should go out with him even if he is a different race. By the time you see people go to highschool ( granted that they don't drop out) it won't matter what other people think. trust me. So just go out with him if you think it is right. So you might like him? why not give him a shot! what if you never went out with him.. and you always wondered what it would have been like if you would have ended up liking him? if there is a chance why not. To build love and a relationship it takes time. So go for it. In 5th grade I remember really liking this one guy... I never told him and I knew he liked me but we never did anything about it and wow.. that was a long time ago... so just go for it. it may not work out just telling you but its always a good experience

It would be weird but at the same time if you like this person race should not matter....plus your only in the 6th grade you can be friends with anyone you want be yourself....in time you will realize that it isnt about what others think

6th grade is no time to be focussing on boys and relationships. You are too young to understand what it truly is to be in love. I know that sounds harsh, but until you know what there is to lose in life, you can not know what it is to have. Stay friends with him and maybe when you are older you can date, but until you feel you are ready, don't mess with it. Most girls that I have known that have dated young have ended up pregnant and single by the time they graduate high school, oh and did I mention that they didn't graduate?

I can't think that far back, but let me say this, you are too young, to be dating, and to be worrying about this.
Just take your time, get to know him better at school, and with other kids around you.
When you're older, you will have a better idea and more experience with social issues.
Just enjoy your youth, it goes by way too fast.

Your're still pretty young, just be friends for now and if you start to have stronger feelings about him you can let him know how you feel. Tell him privately and in a way that wont intimidate him.

if you like be honest and tell him how you feel. i know how kids are and how they're gonna hassle you about being with him and stuff but you gotta realize that this is how society is nowadays and you cant change it its always going to be like this. if you like him and he likes you be with him then see how you guys work out if dont then at least you tried if you guys do then thats damn good. just forget about what people say it doesnt matter.
