I recently got pulled over for a DUI when I didn't feel that I was drunk. I opted to take the blood test. I'm waiting for the results, but I'm really worried about being over the .08 legal limit. Any idea what I expect to see? I had a small dinner with my first glass of wine at 4:40pm then ran into friends and slowly drank another 4 glasses of wine until I was pulled over at 10pm. I weigh about 135lbs and have a pretty good tolerance. They say to subtract 10% for every 40 minutes that pass per drink. Help! I'm bad at math!
Thanks ; )

dont EVER take a sobriety test unless you are absolutely sure. trust me. anyway, without mentioning the alcohol content of the wine, it is hard to say. if it was just like 8% you are probably OK, if it was up toward the 12-13% mark then you were probably over. the average person can metabolize around 1 drink per hour. that is equal to a 12 oz beer (5% avg) or one ounce of 80 proof liquor.

Depends on how big the wineglasses were-and your speed of metabolism--hope you are under the limit. Maybe for the future buy a breathalyzer and test before you drive.

depends on a lot of factors including what you were drinking and your weight. Here's some automatic calculators to help you:

Pretty sure that your BAC is a bit high. Find a good DUI attorney.

Next time, do not take the blood test. Instead, call your lawyer.

Don't have a lawyer?

Get one.

A $1000 retainer will save you trouble in the long run.

most people regardless of their weight digest 1 glass an hour, so, it like you had one glass. you should be under .08
