how do i find out a close book value of my car.?

im in ireland so id appreciate an answer from a fellow irish person.
i have been ontp car buyers guide but they have a few contradictions as in, the 1997 version of my car is worth more than what my 1998 version is worth?? i dont think so... anyway id appreciate the help.

Maybe if you mentioned the make & model it would help greatly! There are occasions where an older model is more desireable, depending on the car.
