Its not easy having thick hair because my hair is relly thick and have too much poof i hate it but i got it thinner so if i can do that you can get your hair thick.
Use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Almost all shampoo brands have their own (Suave, Pantene, Dova, Sunsilk, John Frieda, etc).
After you get out of the shower, apply volumizing mousse or volumizing spray onto your roots (again, any brand has it), and blow dry your hair upside down. Of course, your hair may look really wild when you flip it back over, but you can tame it with a curling/straightening iron.
When you're styling it and it's still flat, you can use a fine-tooth comb to backcomb/tease at the roots a little. Be careful because a lot of this can damage your hair.
Finish with hair spray that's lightweight (and if you need to refresh during the day, you can spray hairspray onto the roots, hold your head upside down for a minute, then flip it back over).
Also I recommend purchasing Redken's Body Full Shampoo and Conditioner. While you are at it, you should get Plump Treat too. I would never suggest that you use something from a drugstore or Wal-Mart. None of the products there are pH balanced. It really does matter. You can also get Guts, by Redken. It is a root lifter. When you blow dry, always use a round brush. Try turning your head up-side down if you have a hard time round brushing each section. You could also get a lot of hi lites (bleach swells the hair shaft making it seem fuller). Also, try Semi-permanant color. Hope this helps! Source(s): www.redken.com

first, let me tell you. the girls with thick hair are sooo unlucky. it takes about 100 hours to brush through my hair in the mornings, you should be lucky. and maybe you want curls, try permanent curls, and ask a barber about your problems, but I think it's no big deal. or you can get a permanent perm. then also dont use moose, use get. and use conditioner when you're washing your hair (but dont use the 2 in 1 kind) they'll keep your hair strong and stop your hair from falling out.
Good Luck! ^_^

I have natural thick hair. I might be able to tell you some advice:
1) Try using Garnier Fructis. It really thickens your hair.
2) Try not getting your hair done so much
3) Get a nice curler and make it very hot. It should stay.
4) You sound very childish, so please don't whine. Like, " Girls with thick hair are SOO lucky! "...
5) Moose doesn't work on my hair either, so forget about that.

My hair is just like that! I don't know what kind of styles you like, but what I do to get volume is put the mousse in my hair, blow dry it upside down, and then tease it at the roots at the crown.
You can smooth it out really nicely by not teasing the very top layer, or leave it a little bit messy which is cute too.
Btw- the got2b hairspray products work wonders!
good luck and just play around until you find something that works!

Pretty much NOBODY is happy with their hair
I have thick curly hair and i HATE it
i almost all of it off and got a whole bunch of layers so it is easier to straighten
BUT i do have a tip but it depends what kind of a person u are
i have hair with REALLY choppy bangs that i take the hair from the back of my head and brush it to the front
its like instant volume
and it looks totally punk rock and hott
or you could try teasing... which is also kinda punk rock
so if your a girly girl i probably wouldnt take this advice
but hey you never know
YOU COULD WORK IT GUUURL!

I really wish I could help you; I have thick hair that is naturally curly. Um...Try a gel because that would probably work better than mousse. Also, Hot Sticks curls hair really well on almost all hair types. Hope that works. =]

Get your hair layered with some bangs to make it look fuller and then use volumizing shampoo and conditioner
for the curls my hair is the same!!! It stays for like 10mins and then it goes strait again... use bedhead hard hold hairspray use TONS of it and then shaker your head around it will hold but won't look hard and greasy!

Use a volumising Shampoo and Conditioner, every brand now has a range.. Stay away from Spray Gels as they will flatten the hair and weigh it down. when looking for a hairspray also look for one that is specifically for volumising hair. And don't forget to tease you hair then spray it with hairspray, that will give you the volume you are after. good luck.

ok most people can tell you "buy this product" but that can get expensive....the cheapest and easiest thing I've ever found for flat thin hair is to blow dry it upside down. Try it and see if you like the way it comes out. If you have broken hairs they will be sticking up so just use a little water and your hand to smooth them back down

I have really thin hair too. To make it look fuller, I've been curling it in sections and then blending it together to give it a full look. I also use a pomade on my hair to make the curls last longer. It keeps my hair light and doesn't weigh it down at all. Hope this helps...
