I worked in a small restaurant that served several different soups and the health department said they could be reheated and used for up to 6 days. That went for both broth based soups and milk/cheese based soups.

Broccoli soup would fit into my policy.
I have a personal policy of keeping cooked food no longer than five or six days in the refrigerator.
If I make a large amount of anything and it can be frozen, I freeze it in containers for future use. When I say this I mean I freeze the food immediately after preparation. after it is cool enough.

By homemade, I will assume there are no preservatives being used. I also assume you are using a milk or cream base. I wouldn't recommend keeping it any longer than 4 days. It may keep, but I wouldn't chance it.
Good luck!
