Most do because of course they will need healthy fit officers to do the job.

Some departments out there will have that. Most will not though. Even the larger deparmtents will not have a h/w requirement. What they will require most of the time is for the cadidate to pass a physical exacmination. That will include being able to do several physical excercises, and sometimes seeing a doctor to test your heart right while running and walking. You will need to consult human resources for the agency you are inquiring about.
Good luck with it all...

Depends on where you apply. In Florida the Highway Patrol use to have certain restrictions, but believe they had to change all that years ago. The local law enforcement agencies here do not as far as I know. You are expected to pass physicals, ekg's, etc. It never hurts to ask !!! Also, you can probably check out your local law enforcement websites and get info you need. Good luck :)

In Florida there is not any regulation over the age of 5. Age might might desire to remember. I actually have a sixteen 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous who would not meet the different states height/weight standards. She might look noticeably stupid in a booster collectively as driving.

Check with the particular office that interests you.
The best thing to do is present a healthy picture now then if you want after a few years, you can be lazy and fat on fast food and donuts like the rest of them!
If you do get into law enforcement I hope you focus on justice and not oppression of the poor.

In Canada the human rights code forbids employers from not hiring you because of what you look like (height/weight). Police services have performance standard tests that recruit perform. If you can do the tests, you can get hired.

Some do, but most don't care. As long as you can pass the physical requirements you should be fine.
