In your case the stove top is better. I like bacon that comes in the packs that put on the bacon tray myself. Not bacon thats already half cooked and just needs to be reheated.

Ever tried baking it in the oven? I use a large rectangular cake pan and lay the bacon out evenly. I put it in a preheated (or not) 350 degree oven and just keep an eye on it, turning it if you wish. I learned this trick when I was nursing at a convalescent home by the cook who had been doing it that way for years. It's great, because it really doesn't pop everywhere, so it's not so hard to clean up and it cooks much quicker, without the drying effects you can get from microwaving. I can say, however, that I've never ever had to add any oil to bacon! It produces plenty of fat all by itself! Goodness, this question/answer made me hungry...anyone for a good ole BLT?

Layer a plate with several paper towels. Next put ANY kind of bacon on the towels and put in a microwave. Nuke until done to your likeness. Take out and let stand for a minute. Tastes great and no need to pay extra $ for microwavable bacon.

Micorwave bacon tastes better and IS better for you because it is less greasy. Stove top bacon cooks in its own grease and oven broiled bacon is too messy.

Micorwave bacon gets my vote.

Put the bacon on a cookie sheet lined with foil and bake at 375 for about 20 minutes, checking it often. Easy clean up,no spatter and better than stovetop!

I love the stove top or oven version better. You can heat the bacon up. Not too crispy and re-heat it in the microwave. We used to do that at a place that I worked at. That way , you can drain out all the fat.

Cooking it in the microwave will make it not as crispy. Stove top cooking will make it crisper. I wouldn't say that one or the other is better, but I prefer microwave because I don't like really crispy bacon.=)

it depends if you like the bacon crispy or soft. for me, i like the bacon soft so microwave would be the way to go. but if you like the bacon with a bit of crunch to it, use stove top

Stove top cooked bacon taste better. If you're going to eat bad, you might as well enjoy what you are eating.

whichever one takes out more fat, which is usually via microwave
on the stove you are just frying the bacon in it's own fat. in the microwave depending on the type of rack you use, it is usually drained away
