in asian movies, actresses put cucumber slices on their whole face. mom says that cucumbers will even skin tone, treat/prevent pimples, hydrate skin... which seems a little farfetched to me. what do you think and do yu have proof?

Your mom is right. I have done this and it makes my face feel smoother and refreshed. I believe it is the components of the cucumber that interact with the skin. It works.

There are studies that cucumbers don't really work that way. Tomatoes are good for the skin since they are natural astringents. Put slices of tomatoes on your face and let it stay there for 10-15mins, rinse with tap water after.

I heard of it to clear up eye bags, but I'm not sure about evening skin tones, but it's possible. And it's just in a movie, so there isn't proof that it does. So I hope this helps.

i don't know if you will see major improvement, but
there is nothing that could HARM the skin in cucumbers
