The Espanol guy is right. You never make a move on ANY of your friend's ex's. Never, even if they say it's ok. That's just weird. Also, check yourself on whether or not you really like this guy. Maybe you should take a step back to keep your other friend from "accidentally" getting hurt.

maybe you should tell him you just want to be friends, he MIGHT think the same or something different, which leads to problems.just try to spread it around that you guys are just friends.or maybe get a boyfriend, so people will know your already going out with someone else and you just like him as a friend.hope everything works out for you!

you already know that there is nothing going on, so regardless of what people say it wouldn't make a difference. in fact i think they are trying to get info from you. if you know it, your friend knows it and he knows it, then let the others talk. after all they are entitled to that.
