I think asking out this guy I really like would be a great time, but I don't want to wait that long. I really don't want to do it face- to- face because I am really shy but is it weird for a girl to ask out a guy? What do you GUYS think? Girls can answer too but I want a guys opinion. And how should I tell him if not on valentines day? Should I write him a note? I wouldn't know what to say if I told him in person.

Don't ask him out just let him know you like him otherwise he is going to thing you are easy and you only want only one thing.

Personally, I would be very flattered if a girl asked me out. Especially if I didn't know she liked me. But I would suggest that maybe you two strike up a conversation or two before you pop the question. And by all means, ask him in person. I can understand that you are shy, but if you want to go out with him, just ask. Its really okay to do that.
Also, knowing what to say to someone can be hard. People usually wind up putting their foot into the mouth so don't worry if you do. Make sure the guy is interested in you. Be a little mysterious.. make him want to know more about you.
But if you really want to go out with him, talk to him and yes, ask him.

I'm a female. I don't think it's wrong to ask a guy out, especially if he's very shy, but i think most of the time they prefer to ask the girl out. If I were you, I'd ask him out once, and if he turns you down, I wouldn't ask again. Guys hate being nagged. I think writing a note is a good idea. Be very casual about it-not romantic. I wouldn't send it on Valentine's Day-too forward.

I don't think it's weird for a girl to ask a guy out. What's there to lose? if he says no then remember it's his loss. My best friend was the one who asked a guy out that she really liked and now they're engaged!

I agree with David L. That is excellent advice. If your guy is any good, he will be flattered. If not, then it will be his loss.
