at my school we have to be in home room at 7:15am
so most people get to school between 7:00 and 7:10

i have to get on the bus at 6:30 am
that means i have to wake up at around 6am
most people wake up at 5 or 5:30

and every doctor or w/e
is saying we need at least 9 hours of sleep,
the only way to get 9 hours of sleep is by sleeping at 8pm

its ridiculous

No, not EVERY doctor is saying 0 hours. Statistics have shown that 7 to 8 hours of sleep are ideal. Therefore, go to bed at 10 and wake up at 6...there is your 8 hours. Where did you arrive at 9 hours from 8 to 6? That's 10 hours. Make sure your next class after homeroom is math.

This is a problem for a lot of teenagers, who tend to have to get up early for school, yet most can't go to bed early at night even if they try. (Most teenagers are just not wired to fall asleep at 9 PM even if that's the amount of sleep they need.)

I recommend catching up by sleeping in on weekends. Otherwise, try to avoid caffeine (Coke, coffee, etc.) and get to bed around the same time every night. As long as you're feeling OK in general, the lack of sleep won't kill you.
