Soups are always good. I actually went and got some slim fast shakes though. They have plenty of vitamins and balanced nutrition. It fills you up for a little while. Even now, I still drink one for breakfast. When I first got braces in September, I felt I had no biting surface because of these blue spacers they put in. Simply drinking my meal made it easy to get it done with for the time being. I did not get to enjoy my food and variety until like a few weeks or so. You get used to them after a while. Just go slow and take the time aside to eat. You'll find out what works best for you. They'll be a little sore everytime they tighten them at your apointments. Oatmeal worked out well too. Hope some of this helps.

Smoothies can be nutritious, fun, and really tasty. Just stay away from seeds. There is also soups and broths, puddings, jello, cottage cheese.

when i had my braces i stuck with soup and mashed items as long as you don't eat nuts you should be fine but when they are sore just stick with things that should be blended (eg. hamburgers blended.... no good) and soup or slushies/smoothies
