I'm considering joining a volleyball team at my school next year. I am usually not a sporty person, but I really want to play. The coach told me that most girls come in with no experience (that would be me). I am not usually good at sports either. I'll have effieicent training before the season though.
Do you think it would e a good idea to go out for the team?
I've never played a sport on a real team before and I don't want to ruin championship chances for everyone. But there is a possibility I might be good at v-ball.

well you never know the outcomes of anything unless you try them first. as long as you know the basics on how to play volleyball i dont think there should be a problem with trying out. also, most of the time if someone makes the team and they know how to play but arent really that good at it after a fewe practices and prue dedication to the sport they get really good at it. i love volleyball. that is like the sport of my life. trust me i have had people that only know how the rules and regulations but really arent that good at playing. one of my friends was in the same boat as you and she tried out and made the team and now she is like one of the best volleyball people that i have ever meet. just try out and see what happens. if you dont like that sport then dont try out. also dont let other people bring you down. in volleyball you play as a team because it is a team sport. you play as a team not as one person. so you will be a part of that team and even if you make a mistake you are a part of that team and and at least you tried your hardest and if they do bring you down just tell them that it is a team sport and that there is no i in team and that no one is perfect and that there werent that good when they first started playing.

hoped this helped u out a lot.

Go for it. I mean when I was in 2nd Grade now i am in fifth I was HORRIBLE!!! But then I tried practicing well barely and now i am one of the best players in my class and i am trying out for our team. You should do something because you love it not because you are good at it. Maybe the same thing will happen to you like it happened to me. So if you don't win or you do win remember you did the best you can and you are going to practice and continue playing the sport you love which is VOLLEYBALL!!!!!!! If you decide to join HAVE FUN!!!!! Hope I helped.

I think you should still try. If you start and then find out you don't like it or whatever you can always quit. I had a friend who never played and by the end of the year she was really good, she's not the most atletic people in the world either, but she just set her mind to thinking that she can do this, and she did!
Good Luck

EXACTLY how i started out! i didn't know if i wanted to play! i had only a little experience! then tryouts came and i decided to go! and i made the AAA team! the BEST team on my schools vball teams (B,A,AA,AAA) so what I'm trying to say is go for it! if you don't like it don't do it next year, but if you don't try it at all you could be missing out on a GREAT opportunity!
