The best way is to have some time for yourself and not take a decision on a rebound! I would suggest you learn to appreciate yourself for who you are and you will see that happiness does not come from the exterior. It lies within you. Take your time to mourn the past relationship and take a break from dating. Go out with your friends and do sports, go on a vacation if you can afford it, see a different group of people and ask people not to report what the other person is doing. You need to let go completely of one relationship first before you enter another one. Otherwise it is not a healthy situation. This is my thought on your question. I wish you the very best for this brand new year and wisdom to know what is good for you.
My grand'mother use to say : " There are many fishes in the sea; another one will come along!"

A little bit of both. Being out there, but not necessarily entirely to the point where you look desperate is good. But if you don't feel ready to go into a relationship, hold off for about a week or however long it takes you.

Also, to keep your mind off the person, sometimes it can sort of help to try and get rid of a habit or workout more or something like that. :D

I would hold off for a while, and jsut concentrate on taking care of yourself, and improving other relationships in your life. Make yourself busy with friends, family, working (extra money never hurt anybody), and repairing your heart for another person. By making yourself busy with other areas of your life, someday when you least expect it, you will find another person, and you will have moved on. Moving on will not take a couple days, a week, or even a month. It works best when you just let it happen naturally, and just become active in other fun areas of your life! Best of Luck!

You need time off to find yourself. You can't get over your last relationship that fast because you must be in love with the person. I think 6 to 12 months is a good time frame or longer, it depneds on the person.

cut off all contact with them and then just be on your own for awhile. My mistake was always trying to get into another realtionship right away. Now I'm on my own for the first time in a long time. It feels good. Take time for yourself.

For a quick fix another person helps but to really get over someone you should hold off and heal on your own.

Jumping into another dating situation does make you feel better. These round relationships often don't work for long though.

Have a few flings(with protection of course), it will open your eyes to all the great experiences a man can offer. Step out of the box and be creative you'll forget about what's his name!!!!!!!!
