Wow, it happens the same to me, I always wear pony tails or just have it down, it's so frustrating!!!! I dont know what else to do with it. I cant even wear braids because my hair is to soft and little bit weak for it, and I'm afraid to have it split at the end, so I'm even more screwed!!! lol
I'm not sure really, maybe you should look in fashion magazines, or dye it, or do yourself some highlights, it's not that hard, so you dont have to go to a beauty shop, highlights are really easy to do, you just have to track the time, and apply the right amount of substance. Then you'll start fresh this year, with a new look!!!

Good luck

I wear my hair in a ponytail almost everyday but when i feel like i want something different i wash my hair towel dry it and then i take gel and scrunch it up all over so it looks curly or wavy and i let the gel dry into my hair then i part it to the side and it looks really good.

You can also try curling it and putting it half up. If you think its too hard curling it with a curling iron get rollers they are really easy you just have to section your hair in small sections and wrap your hair around and pin them it usually takes about 30-45min. for me.A set of rollers costs about $18 at target and there are 20 rollers. you can also get a set at wal-mart but they cost a lot more i think i got mine there for almost $50 but i use mine quiet a bit.

I always recommend that girls look through hair magazines, you don't even need to buy them, just look. Find a style, go home, get some hairspray and pins, sit in front of a mirror and just practice with your hair until you get it right.
Try doing fun and funky things.
Doing that over and over will give you a better understanding of your hair and practice to do anything you want later on.

learn how to braid your hair, online or from a friend or something... it opens up thousands of new hair possiblities... pig tails, one braid down the back, couple of braids, braid wrapped around head, few small braids, etc... the list's endless. try buying some inexpensive, sparkly, cute hairbands or clips to put in your hair.... changes overall look a lot. try tying your hair to the side, really high, etc... get creative!

cut bangs!!! side bangs. it's not hard-just take a pair of scissors and cut. but be careful, you should just find out through internet etc. to learn how to cut bangs without messing it up or just get it cut. it is really really cheap. usually less then 10 dollars. bangs are a great addition to hair. you can wear tehm straight, swept to the side. poofed on top, clipped up- whatever style you feel like.

if you take a shower at night.. just sleep with your hair in a tight or loose bun.. it should come out curly or wavy depending on how tight you made it. [but dont do that on a school night.. try it on the weekend just in case you dont like it] I straighten my hair everyday.. buy a straightner or a curling iron to curl your hair.. i hope that helps!!
