Does anyone know where I can find a good skating dress pattern with no sleeves, preferably a halter top?
I've looked in fabric stores like Joanns and stuff but they only have wierd patterns with long sleeves.
I just want to make a practice dress, because I have a hard time finding ones that aren't way expensive that fit me because I'm really skinny but I have kind of a long torso and I know how to sew.

Go to this website - http://www.specialtysportswear.com/cat.php

They have tons of different patterns for competittion dresses and practice dresses. They even sell the fabric. The prices are all very reasonable as well. Good luck!

Go to a sewing and fabric store like Fabricland and talk to the people there. They might have some dance dress patterns that could be reworked to be a figure skating dress pattern. Unfortunately, you may have to settle for a pattern that you don't love. If you want to make your own, there's only so many options. You could also try googling it. Or instead of making your own, you could buy a used custom dress. They're less expensive than a custom made custom dress (if that makes sense) but it would still technically be custom. I think you have a better chance of finding something you like by doing that. Good luck :)

go to walmart, and look in thepattern books there. Simplicity used to have a few in the costumes section.
