How do you know when a chicken is almost done?

I have to time it because I'm putting a glaze on. The glaze goes on the last 20-30 minutes. The chicken is 7lbs and I put it in the oven around 4:45pm.

i put min on for bout 1and 1/2 hours at 170c in a fan assisted oven so after bout an hour i'd put the gaze on.
do a search for the same or similar recipe online and it should include a timing guide

2 1/2 hrs at 350 F

A 7 lbs chicken should take about 3 hours to cook.
