If we seem a little aggressive sometimes, it's because a lot of Christians are slow learners. It gets frustrating for Atheists to make the same point over and over again. If we make a point, for example - clarifying an erroneous understanding of the term Atheist, frequently the same christian will come back with a different question or answer that reflects a clearly unadjusted understanding of the term. perpetuating the stereotype of christians being closed minded and unable to learn. If I learn some technical point from a christian (and it happens), that adjustment to my knowledge base will be reflected in future questions and answers.

I say bash away. It's fun, and it gives all the bashers a chance to show off their ignorance (I'm talking about both sides, BTW).

Because if we didn't you wouldn't get any answers that apply to reality... it would be a bunch of people arguing over what part of some old myth is true and which is not.
Would you really want a discussion completely devoid of rationality and intelligence? Oh... maybe...

It make them spew, hate to say it, but it is like demons being called out, that is the best way I can say it , other than "it gets their goat" We know what the goat symbolized in the Bible.

You know, Chris, I have also wondered about that. I suppose it's because they feel it is their duty to protest any form of Jesus they see or hear. It offends them because they are either angry with God for some reason or they are afraid of Him. They prob know somewhere deep inside em that they should hav a relationship with Him and they feel guilt and fear because they don't. that's as far as I've reasoned it........
