My camcorder is capable of using a dvd-rw to record but it is not working. it works with any other type of dvd but not with dvd-rw

may be because it doesnt suppoprt dvd rw
but i guess most support them
in other ways u try formatting ur dvd rw and then insert in ur camcorder and try recording

Could be a couple of reasons:
Cheap Drives. Try a different brand
Wrong speed (maybe too high?) . Check your user manual for the specific speeds/drives supported
Try to see if you find any info on panasonic's web site
