I converted from Christianity to Islam about 8 years ago. I had lots of questions in Christianity that pastors and friends couldn't answer. Most of them were about my trouble grasping why Jesus needed to die for anyone's sins. And there is nobody on the planet that can explain the trinity to me.
All along I felt strongly that God was one. I find Islam to be the only monotheistic religion that seems both logical, and spiritually accurate. I like that it's a way of life as well as a religion.

I'm a convert to Catholicism. I didn't choose it as one chooses a flavor of ice cream, though. I began seriously studying Catholicism in order to prove it false and lead someone out of the Catholic faith. When the evidence instead revealed it is the One True Faith, I chose to say yes to God, and gave up my anti-Catholicism and came into full communion with the Catholic Church.

guess some would say I am a Christian mystic, but I think they do not know what they are talking about. I believe the Bible is right on and an adequate authority to use for making judgements in life. I have the comforter with me.

Islam because I know its original teachings are well-guarded by rigorous orthodoxy since 1400 years ago. For instance, we dont have to have our own "Council of Nicaea" to decide what to believe, which book (i.e. gospels) to read and all. Thus, I have no doubt that I'm on the right path - the path of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
God knows best.
Peace and Love.

I'm not sure it matters what religion you are, as long as you have educated yourself and believe you have received confirmation from God that it is true. We should respect all peoples' beliefs. I studied hundreds of religions and feel my prayers were answered, very clearly. Additionally, it just makes sense to me.
