I joined the Corps 9 years ago. I just talked to my recruiter last night. If you join the Corps and make it you will be his brother. If not you suck!!!!!! Just kidding. But you can not stereotype. Some recruiters are just trying to meet quota. Some really mean it. Tell him to buy you some beer so you guys can hang out before bootcamp.

He is probably full of it. He probably tells the same thing to his other recruits. He's using that line just to get you to join the military.

My husbands recruiter was his best friend til he was signed up and ready to go. Then it was "who are you again" when my husband ran into him a few months later while on leave from A.I.T. Who knows...he could mean it but don't get your feelings hurt if he doesn't.

He's trying to be your friend....trying to recruit you.

Do you think he'd tell you that you look like a doofus?

He's full of crap....don't believe a 'kind word' he says.

He's sucking up to you.

tell him he's like your recruiter who wants to send you off to an unfair war and then cut your benefits when you get nerve damage. Or better yet, just stop returning his calls.

He will tell you anything you want him to. After he gets you to join and he get's his commission for getting you to join he's happy.Once you join someone else gets you, and believe me, you didn't make no deals with him. He can do anything he wants with you or to you.
