Sounds like you want lowlights. Go with a caramel/light brown if you are warm toned or a cooler, deeper, ashy dirty blond if you are cool toned.
Warm toned skin looks better against gold while cool toned skin looks better against silver.

my friend has blond hair and she had this problem too. She ended up getting highlights between red and blond like a strawberry blond and it looks great on her. If you don't like that idea then go with a light brown.

I am getting my hair highlighted too-
Tonight in fact
And my hair is blonde, too!
I'm getting light brown and dark brown lowlights-
One on my bangs, and around 3 on each side and 2 in the back.
Good choices for highlights would be-
-Light Brown
-Dark Brown
-Light Red
-Dark Blonde
Don't get-
-Black
-Unnatural red
Hope that helps!
Good luck with your hair1
God bless!
:D

If you want lowlights, do the opposite of your hair color. If you have a warm blonde, do ashy or cool lowlights. If your blonde is cool or ashy, do warm lowlights. The contrast will look amazing in your hair. I'd stick with just medium brown tones. If you want something with a more funky look, do dark browns.
