If I take a medication with orange juice, for example, will it hinder the affect?

I heard somewhere you shouldn't take things with vitamin C or orange juice or something, I'm not sure.

Ascorbic acid can disturb the absoprtion and metabolism of cyancobalamin, the pharmaceutic form of vitamin B12. NSAIDs levels increase with vit. C doses of 500mg and more/day. Decreased absorption of Tylenol (acetaminophen), increased effect of furosemide (Lasix, a diuretic), decreased absorption of beta-blockers and increases levels of tetracycline.

If the question is.Will vitamin "C"absorption be interfered with if you take it with orange juice? The answer is no.However i would avoid taking antacids or milk products around the time you take vitamin"C",They may reduce the efficacy of the vitamin.

Certain medications can't be taken with certan foods and some medications you can't take with vitamins depending which ones. Your best bet is to ask your pharmacist who filled your prescription.

depends on your medication, some medication do not mix with some vitamins or foods as it will block is effectiveness. call your Dr. or Pharmacist and ask
