being THICk is a compliment.. being fat is a diss. what's the difference?

The difference is:
Thick... You are young, very curvy, and have a nice shape. Usually girls that are thick when they are young eventually get fat.
Fat... Well, it's when you get past that point and get a little older, then your body begins to let itself go.

I think the difference is all about where the "thickness" is on your body, and also whether it's made of fat or muscle. For instance, pro wrestlers, football players, etc. are thick, not fat, because even though they look HUGE and wear big sizes, we all know that it's all muscle. However, fat people are people who are just as huge and wear ust as big sizes, but it's all made of fat, and the fat tends to settle in unattractive places, like around the belly and thighs, and gives the person double chins.

Lots of people think been thick is a bad thing but actually alot of the women that are think have a better figure than skiny girls so dont get ofended by it. Now been fat is just a little bit too thick thats not cute and most of the guys dont like that.

Well I don't know what part of the world you and your other people who answered live in but in Australia England Ireland Scotland etc being thick means slow thinking , dim witted,, Hence the saying "Thick as two short planks" or "thick as a brick"

Thick is a euphemism for fat. Thick is what arrogant fat chicks who sleep around think is a compliment.

Thick means that you have the weight in all the right places and that it looks pretty and healthy on you. Being fat is being very overweight and not having the proper balance.

When your fat,you have giggly stuff that actually flips and flops up and down like jello.But when your thick it's just mostley genetics! And you are probably not the only one that is built thick in your family.

I think it is a culture thing but usaully a "thick" girl has a nice full shape. Fat means that she looks lumpy and round. Shapeless
