Put $975 down, 15k miles allow per year, "S" model, no extra's, 2wd. I've owned 2 Nissan Maximas (1987 and 1994), and were pleased with maintenance issues-good little cars. Still having as backup car the 1994 - it has 171k + miles, and still running like a top. This car I'm to lease because to purchase, my payments would have run close to $500/month.

So I am asking two things:
1. How'd I do on the negotiations?
2. How'd I do on the model of vehicle?

Thank you all for your assistance ahead of time...

I'm looking to buying property in the country, so may need the additional mileage. I need this specific car because my fiance is a stroke victim. This car's seating makes transfer from his wheelchair easier, and the back area contains his wheelchair nicely and ties down as well. My other car was a struggle for me to literally pull him up (with his assistance), and it was getting old, and I was worried about being stuck on the road, and he would be helpless. It's an expensive choice, but I don't have many alternatives.

Well I can't tell you much about your negotiation skills because I'm missing one number to perform any calculations. That's what they put down as the Residual value of the vehicle. I'm assuming MSRP price of $27750 on the Murano S.

The lower the residual value they have marked, the better you deal was.

If you give me that number I can give you a more detailed explaination.

As for the car itself, personally I don't like the styling, but each person has their own taste. It will be a good car, as long as you take care of it they will run well for the time you will own it.

Please read over your lease agreement. Not sure where in the country you plan to purchase property, but many lease agreements prevent you from taking the car out of state.

Leasing a car is worst than renting an apartment.
You put almost a g down and your payments are 380? Damn you should have bought a lexus IS.
You have a car that "runs like a top" but you are going to spend $380 a month no a car you won't be able to drive everyday.(15k miles for a year is a little over 1000 miles a month)
I think Nissan is very glad you came by.

Go to Mid City Nissan in Illinois, and you'll get a great deal.

I say that you just got yourself the most expensive rental Ive yet to see.

15k Miles a year would never fit around my budget for mileage allowance.

Will it fit yours?
