I cannot laugh, cry or talk a lot, as this makes cough a lot. I get up in the morning with severe phelm substance also after eating I cough a lot.

sounds like a congestion in the lungs....acid normally would not make you cough.unless it, 's been going on for several months or yrs., if that's true use ant-acids after eating... but like it ....sounds something amiss in respiratory system

My wife also has this problem and what seems to help her is to take two tums befor she goes to bed at nite What her symptons are is the phelm builds up when she is talking and she is constantly clearing her throat She also talked to her doctor and he agreed it was caused by escess acid in stomach.

Try cutting out dairy products as they can cause you to produce a lot of mucus. This can make particles of food stick in your throat which will then make you feel like coughing or throwing up. Gaviscon is supposed to be good if you have acid reflux but I think it is disgusting.

An allergic reaction? Are you lactose intolerant. Try sucking fisherman's Friends to relieve the congestion. Vapour crystal mentho inhalation to ease the sinusitis.

Sounds like you need a proper doctor who will tell you if you have asthema or tuberculosis. If it gets better after chewing an antacid then that will be another clue to take to the doctor.
